Austin Product Community

The Product League

• Co-hosted by Dan Corbin and yours truly, our meetup is focused on helping aspiring and growing product managers learn and network at our meetup on the first Monday of every month. We target our talks to aspiring and growing product managers.

ProductCamp Austin

• The largest product community gathering in Austin that is held on a Saturday twice a year — typically in February and August. It is a free all-day unconference and has some great talks and lots of product folks to network with.

Products That Count — Austin

• Products That Count was founded by product thought leader SC Moatti. They meet on the second Wednesday of every month at Indeed HQ. High-quality talks by product leaders for senior and experienced product managers.

ProductTank — Austin

• Austin chapter of ProductTank which meets once a month in various locations alternating talks and happy hours. It is affiliated with Mind The Product: “Conferences, training, and content for the world’s largest community of product managers, designers, and developers.”

Women In Product — Austin

• Austin chapter of Women In Product. Great talks and networking for the talented women in our product community. They “educate, empower, and create a global community of women product managers to build impactful products at scale.”

Austin Developing Product Managers

• Organized by Shane Sledge, this meetup is focused on product managers earlier in their careers. They meet on the last Tuesday of every month at Capital Factory.

Agile Austin — Product SIG

• I love Agile Austin — the best run grassroots organization that has been around Austin for ages. They have multiple SIGs including one for Product. Organized by Caroling Lee and Dan Katz, they focus on the Product Owner role. Also, don’t miss Keep Austin Agile — a one day conference that has a Product track.

The Product School(aka Product Management Austin)

• Hosted by The Product School, Product Management Austin is to help aspiring PMs “learn more about breaking into the field, improving your skills and building your network.”

Product Marketers of Austin

• Organized by Harsha Kalapala and Misha Rangel, they meet every month in various locations. Focused on product marketers in tech.

Austin User Experience Professionals Association (UXPA)

• Local chapter of UXPA a non-profit, volunteer-run organization with the goal of providing educational and networking events for user experience designers, researchers, information architects and developers. They generally meet the first Tuesday of the month in Austin, but the location varies.

UX in ATX

• Organized by one of my favorite folks in UX, Cindy Brummer, this group is designed to teach, mentor, and build the skills of UX professionals as well as and aspiring UX designers and related industries.
